Medell\u00edn, the city of eternal spring, is seen from the west of the town. Here you can see the Atanasio Girardot Stadium in the center of the photograph, where the soccer matches of the local teams, Deportivo Independiente Medell\u00edn and Atl\u00e9tico Nacional, are played. If you can attend one of these events, you will enjoy a joyful atmosphere full of emotions.<\/span><\/p>\n

The city of Medell\u00edn developed in the Aburr\u00e1 Valley, and due to the town’s expansion, its neighbouring mountains were the place of urban development. One of the modes of transportation that evolved was the cable system. Tourists allow to enjoy a pleasant panorama and see from the sky the typical neighbourhoods and communes that this means of transport favours. For locals, the Metrocable is one of the most important means of transportation as it connects with the bus and metro system.<\/p>\n

El Poblado is one of the oldest neighbourhoods in the city, where Medell\u00edn was founded in the park that bears his name. It is one of the most important financial sectors, with the most exclusive shopping centers, executive sector, hotels, clinics, restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues. Unlike other large cities where the center or “downtown” of the town is the center of the financial and entertainment sector, Medell\u00edn is the El Poblado neighbourhood where this development took place. Likewise, the sector has exclusive residential areas in the middle of the mountain on the eastern side of the city that communicates with Las Palmas Avenue, one of the routes that connect with Rionegro and the Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda C\u00f3rdova International Airport. <\/p>\n
